CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Tufton Oceanic takes Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) seriously and as a result we take part and contribute in a number of different projects and charities around the globe. Our current projects are highlighted below:

Save the Children Fund

Tufton Oceanic Ltd is delighted to announce their involvement in the Save the Children Pernambuco Project in one of the poorest areas in North Eastern Brazil.

The project will lower the child mortality rates in 19 communities; it will provide direct holistic support to 15,000 children under the age of five living in poverty; it will impact the lives of a further 30,000 children under five living in poverty through health and hygiene education and support.

Ethiopian Education Foundation (EEF)

Tufton’s staff at the internal Christmas party raised enough money to sponsor a child through the Ethiopian Education Foundation (EEF). We have initially committed to a four year sponsorship with the hope that we might raise enough in future years to take this further.

South Sudan

Tufton is helping sponsor a project in South Sudan to rebuild Juba Technical High School. This has included teacher housing, classroom facilities, workshops and lab facilities.
