Non-Executive Chairman for the Group
Takis is qualified as a member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the UK, having completed the examinations in 1974. He is now a Fellow of ACCA and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPA). After working for 3 years in the UK and Greece he returned to Cyprus to join Metaxas Loizides Syrimis & Co - KPMG where he became a partner in 1981. He left KPMG in March 1999 when he was appointed Minister of Finance of the Republic of Cyprus, a post he held until February 2003. He has served as a member of the Monopolies Commission in Cyprus, a member of Council of ICPA, Cyprus Representative of the World Assembly of ACCA. He was appointed as a Governor of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) from 1999 to 2003. In April 2003 he established his own business consulting firm acting as advisor/director to a number of public and private corporations.
Non-Executive Director for the Group
Adonis Papadopoulos is the Chairman of InterOrient Navigation Co. Ltd in Cyprus. Mr Papadopoulos is active in the Cypriot shipping industry since 1965. Mr Papadopoulos was the first President of the Cyprus Shipping Council, elected in 1989 and re-elected in 1993, and has played a leading role in shaping the current shipping policies of Cyprus.

Themis is Chief Executive Officer of Interorient Navigation Co. Ltd in Cyprus. He is currently on the Board of the following companies: Interorient Navigation Co. Ltd., TFI Public Company Ltd, Tufton Oceanic Finance Group, Norient Product Pool A/S.
Petros has been involved in the shipping industry for over thirty years with extensive technical and commercial experience in both the dry and wet markets as a director of various shipping companies including until recently Tufton Oceanic Holdings and Managing Director of World Carrier (London) Ltd.
Petros is a non-executive board member of Tufton Oceanic Finance Group.
Ted graduated with an MBA from Harvard in 1977. After graduation he joined Brown and Root where he held several line management positions including assignment as General Manager of Wilbar in Norway- a j/v between Brown and Root and Wilhelm Wilhelmsen ASA. Ted founded the Tufton Group in 1985 and today serves as Chairman of Tufton Oceanic Finance Group and has several other directorships. Ted specialises in corporate reorganisations and equity investments, particularly in the offshore industry.
Erik A. Lind
Chief Executive Officer, Tufton Oceanic Finance Group
Erik graduated with an MBA from the University of Denver in 1979. He has held senior or executive positions with Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company, Oslobanken, I.M. Skaugen ASA and GATX Capital while working from New York, Oslo, Shanghai and London. He has financial and operational experience within the banking, investment and maritime transportation sectors and has been actively involved in corporate re-capitalisations, financial restructurings, acquisitions, and structured finance and joint venture investments. Erik joined Tufton Oceanic in 2004 as Chief Executive Officer. Outside the Tufton Oceanic group of companies, Erik is a member of the advisory board of A.M. Nomikos and the non-executive Chairman of the Board of DHT Holding Ltd; a NYSE listed tanker company.
Chief Financial Officer / Chief Operating Officer
Anthony Haynes graduated with a BA from the University of Exeter and qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloites in 1988, specialising in financial services clients. Prior to joining Tufton Oceanic in May 2008, Anthony held a series of directorships and operational and financial management positions over a period of twelve years within the offshore operations of the Abbey Group. During this time he specialised in treasury operations in Hong Kong, international insurance and fund management in Dublin and offshore banking and treasury in Jersey. Anthony is a director of the company and has group responsibility for finance, risk, compliance and for the operations of the Oceanic Hedge Fund.

Managing Director, Tufton Oceanic (Isle of Man) Limited and Equity Fund Manager
Cato holds a BSc (Hons) in shipbuilding and naval architecture from Newcastle, he is an MRINA and holds an MSBA from Boston. He joined Tufton in 1989 where he is responsible for fund management. He also built up a 30 strong fleet of Offshore Standby Support vessels which was one of the group's private equity projects; the fleet and the associated management company was sold in 1996. Prior to joining Tufton, his career included service at sea as a naval officer and 11 years of offshore engineering and management experience with Brown & Root. Cato heads up the group's equity fund management activities comprising Oceanic Hedge Fund.
Jonas Andreasson, CFA
Head of London Hedge Fund Desk
Jonas graduated with an MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance (City University Business School). He joined Tufton Oceanic in 1995 and worked on equity and market analysis in the shipping and oil service sectors. Jonas specialises in the analysis of oilfield services and offshore markets for Oceanic Hedge Fund. Jonas is a Director of Oceanic Investment Management Ltd.
Head of New Energy
Andrew graduated in Economics and Political Science from the University of Birmingham in 1985. He has over twenty years experience of covering the European Utilities sectors, working for Hoare Govett, Daiwa Securities and BNP-Paribas, where he was Head of Sector. In 2003 Andrew switched his focus to renewable energy and subsequently created a New Energy and Emissions research product for Numis Securities. Andrew joined Tufton Oceanic in June 2006 and is now providing global coverage of utilities (power and gas), nuclear, renewables (wind and solar), fuel cells and energy storage.
Head of Research
Andreas graduated with a PhD in Shipping Economics from City University Business School in 1989 and immediately joined Tufton Oceanic Ltd as a shipping analyst. He subsequently joined UBS Warburg as Head of Shipping Research in 1995 where in addition to regular research activities he was involved in numerous corporate transactions in the maritime sector. In 2002 Andreas rejoined Tufton Oceanic as Research Director with main responsibility for shipping analysis.

Managing Director - Asset Backed Investments
Andrew Hampson joined Bank of America in 1978 and after working in a number of operational and finance departments, he graduated through the bank's internal MBA level lending program. In 1986, he joined the bank's problem loan department and subsequently became a credit and marketing officer in their European shipping group through 1991. Following 10 years at Theisen Securities, where he further developed his corporate finance, marketing and analytical skills, he joined Tufton Oceanic in London. Andrew has in depth experience in handling shipping related projects with ECA's, Government Development Banks and also oil major tendering processes. Andrew has considerable experience in the Eastern European, Scandinavian and the Middle Eastern shipping markets. He is a Director of Tufton Oceanic Limited and is currently responsible for marketing and deal flow origination for Tufton's Asset Backed Investment products.
Kashyap Swamy, CFA
Senior Analyst, Commodity and Investment Strategy
Kashyap graduated with a Master in Finance from London Business School. He joined Tufton Oceanic in 2005 and is responsible for oil & gas market analysis as well as overall investment strategy.
Director - Tufton Oceanic (Middle East) Limited
A Law graduate of Cambridge University with senior shipping and project finance banking experience in London and Switzerland, latterly with Close Brothers Limited.
Based in Dubai for more than 15 years, initially as the Finance Director for a major regional participant in the oil services, ship-repair and fabrication and offshore vessel owning sectors, prior to establishing arabCapital in 2000. arabCapital is an active participant in ship finance and corporate advisory assignments in the Middle East region and has worked in association with Tufton Oceanic since its establishment in relation to marine and energy sector transactions.
Also a Director of Total Automation (Middle East) Limited, a specialist ship repair company ultimately owned by Wartsila Oy.
Portfolio Manager - Asset Backed Investments
Paulo is Portfolio Manager for Tufton's private equity activities and he has been responsible for investments in product tankers (recently merged into Hafnia Tankers which has an Oslo OTC listing) and handysize bulkers as well as originating opportunities in gas carriers and containerships. He joined Tufton in early 2009 after nine years in investment banking and fund management experience at UBS and Macquarie. Shipping transactions he led at UBS received three IPO of the year awards from Marine Money and Jane's Transport Finance for 2005. He spent four years in the shipping industry before business school. He received his MSc in Finance from London Business School in 2000 and a BSc in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Webb Institute in 1995.
Vice President - Asset Backed Investments
Ping received her MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from the City University Business School in 1997. She started her career in banking in 1998 with ANZ Investment Bank and then with Lloyds TSB Corporate markets focusing on debt arrangement and debt advisory within the shipping industry sector. In 2008 Ping joined Macquarie Bank where she worked in the corporate and asset finance department focusing on shipping and offshore investments. Ping is also a non-practicing barrister (Bar of England & Wales and Lincoln’s Inn). Ping joined Tufton in London in August 2011 and her focus is deal origination and execution.
Vice President, Asset Backed Investments
Ioannis joined Tufton in 2013 and has been involved in the merger of BTS into Hafnia Tankers, a bulk carrier investment and assessing several bulk carrier and containership opportunities. Before joining Tufton, he worked for Barclays Private Equity Infrastructure division, originating and executing transactions with a focus on renewable energy, transport & maritime sectors. He also worked for Credit Suisse Private Banking, being part of a team that advised a leading shipping entrepreneur on his expansion/diversification strategy. Ioannis holds a PhD in Petroleum Engineering/Offshore Well Test Analysis and a MSc in Structural Steel Design in 2005, both from Imperial College London.
Virginia joined Tufton in 2014, focusing on Tufton's private equity activities, including deal origination and execution. Before joining Tufton, Virginia worked for Aleph Capital Partners, a Private Equity firm established by ex-Goldman Sachs partners, sourcing, analysing and executing investment opportunities in different sectors. Prior to that, she worked for Citigroup at the Investment Banking - M&A division, where she was involved in a number of transactions including M&A, Equity Offerings and Debt Financings. Virginia received her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and her MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from Cass Business School. She speaks English, Greek, French and Spanish.
TUFTON MARINE ASSET MANAGEMENT
Roine joined Tufton in January 2016. Having graduated with an MBA from the London Business School in 2006, he spent 9 years with the Ofer family group of companies in New York, London and Singapore; most recently as the Managing Director of Eastern Pacific Shipping UK. Roine has broad-ranging experience in all the required maritime and business disciplines, including commercial, operational, technical and leadership aspects of ship owning and ship management. His experience also spans ship financing activities, corporate re-structuring and management consulting. Roine is a Master Mariner and has served in the Merchant Marine on deep sea crude and product tankers, ro-ro ships, as well as cruise vessels.
Capt. Praveen Abraham
Chief Operating Officer
Praveen has been with Tufton since 2014 and is responsible for the day-to-day commercial and marine operations functions. Praveen brings over 28 years of shipping experience to the team. He is a Master Mariner and has extensive sea-going experience as Master and deck officer on board crude & product tankers, dry bulk and general cargo vessels, having served with leading ship owners’ such as Maersk and Great Eastern. Praveen came ashore in 2004 and has been involved in commercial, operational and technical aspects of ship owning, most recently as Vice President with Tankers International. Praveen graduated with an MBA from London Business School in 2008 and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.
Chief Technology Officer
Manish graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from King’s College, University of London in 1990 and holds the Certificate Quantitative Finance. He has 18 years experience in delivering technology solutions having held senior IT positions within front-office equity derivatives at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, capital market specialist Alpheus Solutions, futures electronic platform vendor Patsystems, delivering algorithmic trading platform at CQS Management, and an order management system product manager at the hedge fund administrator GlobeOp Financial Services. He joined Tufton in 2008 where he heads technology for the group.
Mike graduated with a BA (Hons) from the University of Birmingham in 1979 and qualified as a Chartered Secretary in 1988. Mike is also a member of the International Compliance Association. He has experience in auditing, financial accounting and corporate law through his employment with listed and private companies in the financial services and industrial sectors. Since joining Tufton in 2003 Mike has primarily worked on fund management. His functions have included trading, middle office - settlement and reconciliations, legal documentation and compliance. Mike is Compliance Manager for the Isle of Man fund management operations.
